Canada, known as a country that offers at least $ 80,000 Canadian (about 51,457 Euros) a year, has recently been struggling to find truck drivers because it is termed a hard-working job.
The transport sector has opened 48 thousand jobs for drivers and this space needs to be completed by 2024.
Truck drivers in transportation companies in this country earn up to $ 100,000 Canadian dollars, ie around 64,000 euros a year.
Thus, in the period between 2015 and 2017, 390 truck drivers were hired from foreign countries. Within the pilot project were hired drivers from the UK, Bulgaria, Poland, Ukraine and the Republic of South Africa.
Robert Trites, who works on the project, said the biggest problem they face is that drivers, after obtaining a residence permit, go to Ontario or the western provinces.
Trites said motorists mainly work 10-12 days without interruption, after which they leave for 3 to 4 days.
Al Whittaker, who owns a company in New Brunswick, said that for 30 years he is dealing with transport and finds new workers hard to find.
